Competitive sports were never my strong suit. I was much better at yelling "Go, Fight, Win!" from the sidelines. And luckily that skill still comes in handy as a Mom. :) Bailey is playing softball for the first time this year, and she played her first game on March 20, 2007. She was the lead off batter, and she smacked the very first pitch! I don't know about her, but I was full of butterflies!...So, this video is actually from her second turn at bat. :) Although her team lost 12 to 5, Bailey LOVED it and had FUN....and that's what it's all about! Oh yeah, "Go, Fight, Win!" ;-)

This was filmed at a district playoff game in 2005. The pitcher returned to the game after 2 innings. She did not get seriously injured. Notice that the firs baseman caught the ball and tried to double off the runner at first.

I caught this video at a college softball game. One of the coaches got angry over a call and the umpire warned him not to "say one more word" but the coach had one more thing to say. An so did the ump. "YOU'RE OUT OF HERE!!!"
