Not everybody knows that Iverson, actually, was a BETTER football player than he was a basketball player in High School. He was better than Mike Vick AND Aaron Brooks in High School. Had it not been for that bowling alley incident, Iverson may have ended up in the NFL. Maybe even at QB. Allen Iverson Playing High Sch |

What's wrong with showing off with a little harmless bowling ball juggling to impress your friends? Probably nothing if you are any good at it and didn't happen to let one fly right as a poor little girl was approaching the neighboring lane. Needless to say, that poor kid will hate clowns, juggling and beer soaked bowlathons for the rest of her life. That is if she ever comes out of her coma! Kid gets knocked the f**k out |

Usain Bolt breaks the world record and sets a new world record Usain Bolt (born 21 August 1986) is a Jamaican sprinter.[1] He is the reigning Olympic champion over 100 metres and holds both world and Olympic 100 metres records with a time of 9.69 seconds. Bolt is also the world junior record holder in the 200 metres (19.93 seconds), and Jamaican national record holder in the 200 metres (19.67 seconds). His name and achievements in sprinting have earned him the media nickname "Lightning Bolt". Bolt was born in Trelawny, Jamaica,[3] to Jennifer and Wellesley Bolt.[4] As a child he was successful in the annual, national primary schools' meeting for his parish,[2] and enjoyed playing cricket, specialising in fast bowling. Upon his entry to William Knibb Memorial High School, his cricket coach noticed Bolt's speed on the pitch and urged him to try track and field events.[5] Pablo mcneil and Dwayne Barrett coached Bolt, encouraging him to focus his energy on improving his athletic abilities. The school had a history of athletic success with past students including Michael Green.[2] Bolt won his first annual high school championships medal in 2001, attaining the silver medal in the 200 metres with a time of 22.04 seconds.[2] Performing in his first Caribbean national event, Bolt clocked a personal best of 48.28 seconds in the 400 metres in the 2001 CARIFTA games, earning himself a silver medal.[6] The 200 metres also yielded a silver as Bolt finished in 21.81 seconds. For those who were there at mcdonough Gymnasium on August 4, 1994, few will forget the arrival of a 6-0 freshman guard who needed no introduction. The rumors of Allen Iverson's arrival to the Kenner Summer League were true, and by game's end, Iverson had scored 40 points. By the Sunday afternoon final, before an overflow crowd inside the gym and a crowd of those outside who could not get in, Iverson finished a combined 99 point effort in three days against some of the best collegiate talent in the city. This, of course, from a player that had not played organized basketball in over a year. The Allen Iverson years had begun. A brief profile can't do justice to tell the story of one of the greatest pure athletes ever to attend Georgetown, a man without peer in his talent over two years at the collegiate level. Just a year before his Kenner debut, few would have imagined Allen Iverson ever playing college basketball. Iverson was not only a 31 point a game guard for Bethel HS, but a football player of tremendous skill. As a quarterback and defensive back his sophomore season, he produced nearly 1600 yards offense and 13 int's. By his junior year, he accounted for 2204 yards, 21 touchdowns by rush or interception, and 14 touchdown passes. In a region which has produced NFL quarterbacks such as Michael Vick and Aaron Brooks, there are those who will still say "Bubbachuck" Iverson was better than both of them. Schools such as Arkansas, Kentucky, Duke, and three dozen other top ... Allen Iverson College Mix - Ge |
