Michael Jeffrey Jordan (born February 17, 1963) is a retired American professional basketball player and active businessman. He is widely considered the greatest basketball player of all time, and was among the most effectively marketed athletes of his generation. Jordan was instrumental in popularizing the National Basketball Association (NBA) around the world in the 1980s and 1990s. After a stand-out career at the University of North Carolina, Jordan joined the NBA's Chicago Bulls in 1984. He quickly emerged as one of the stars of the league, entertaining crowds with his prolific scoring. His leaping ability, illustrated by performing slam dunks from the free throw line at Slam Dunk Contests, earned him the nicknames "Air Jordan" and "His Airness". He also gained a reputation as one of the best defensive players in basketball. In 1991, he won his first NBA championship with the Bulls, and followed that achievement with titles in 1992 and 1993, securing a "three-peat". Though Jordan abruptly left the NBA in October 1993 to pursue a career in baseball, he rejoined the Bulls in 1995 and led them to three additional championships (1996, 1997, and 1998). His 1995--96 Bulls team won an NBA-record 72 regular-season games. Jordan retired for a second time in 1999, but he returned for two more NBA seasons as a member of the Washington Wizards. Jordan's individual accolades and accomplishments include five NBA MVP (Most Valuable Player) awards, ten All-NBA First Team designations ... Michael Jordans Greatest Dunks |

www.NiceKicks.com - This Thanksgiving holiday Nike will debut its latest television commercial, Chalk, which features basketball star LeBron James. The 30 and 60-second US television spots draw its inspiration from LeBrons pre-game ritual of tossing talcum powder into the air at the scorers table before each home and away game. The pre-game ritual of LeBron has become a symbol of the ultimate Just Do It moment. The ad campaign, produced in cooperation with Portland, Ore.-based advertising agency Wieden+Kennedy is part of Nikes integrated marketing and communication support for LeBrons latest signature sneaker the Zoom LeBron VI. The ad will begin airing on Thanksgiving Day during the nationally televised pro football games. It will run on major networks and cable channels including ESPN, ABC, Fox, CBS, BET and MTV. The campaign will also be featured on nikebasketball.com. In addition to LeBron James, the commercial also features cameo appearances by basketball players Greg Oden, LaMarcus Aldridge, Brandon Roy, Daniel Gibson, Anderson Varejao, JJ Hicks and platinum recording hip-hop artist Lil Wayne. The opening credits of what will be a short video about the career of high school basketball legend Ronnie Fields. Not much is known about Ronnie Fields except for what you read or hear about on the internet. Truth is from 1992-1996, Ronnie Fields was a basketball legend in Chicago. His 48 inch vertical was so impressive that even Vince Carter would not dunk against Ronnie. As this movie will eventually show, making it to the NBA is not always about talent. This is just the open and has not been finalized. Hope you all enjoy. Any questions or comments please feel free to email me. Ronnie "Air" Fields - Part 1 |
