Carlos Triunfel charges a grounder during infield practice before a 2007 California League game. Triunfel was signed by the Seattle Mariners out of the Dominican Republic for $1.3 million during the summer of 2006. The shortstop hit .309 for the low Single-A Wisconsin Timber Rattlers of the Midwest League in 2007. He was promoted to the high Single-A California League at midseason and hit .288 as a 17-year old with High Desert. Evan Frederickson, pitcher for the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers, was involved in one of the most bizarre baseball plays ever. Frederickson delivered a pitch over the head of catcher Corey Kemp and with an assist from the backstop, cut the runner down at the plate. The Wisconsin Timber Rattlers are the Class 'A' Affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers and are in Appleton, Wisconsin. Andrew "Buggs" Combs graduated from the University of Maryland with a degree in communications. He was a First Team All-ACC selection and a Second Team All-American as a Senior when he led Maryland in scoring with 50 goals and 6 assists. Since he graduated, Andrew has been an assistant coach at Towson and a professional lacrosse player in the MLL. He played for the Baltimore Bayhawks in '03 and '04, the Rochester Rattlers in '05, and the Los Angeles Riptide in '06. Playing Off-Ball: An Unconventional Style Seth Goldberg grew up in Fayetteville New York and played lacrosse at Fayetteville-Manlius High School where he was All League in both his Junior and Senior years. He went on to play at Yale where he was a four year starter, earning second team All-Ivy as a Junior and first team All-Ivy as a Senior. After graduating from Yale with a degree in political science, Seth went on to Law School at the University of Pennsylvania and is currently a second year law student. The Rochester Rattlers drafted him in the 2005 supplemental draft, and he led the Rattlers in goals with 31 in his first full season. Early (1976-1989 to date) It is a pleasure for me to set one facet of the record straight by providing The history of Martial Arts in the NFL (Dallas Cowboys) from 1976 to date. There was a cadre of brilliant and dedicated Martial Artists that helped me Implement their skills into a Football Context, and helped me pass this Knowledge of human movement from the Martial Arts to a Super Bowl Championship Team, while I was with Dallas, and, later, to other NFL Teams, and Universities, and Colleges to improve their teams. In fact Valentine Espiricueta is still very active with a first class group of defensive Players for the Dallas Cowboy. When Coach Landry hired me, I brought my Experience as a Football Coach, Sports Scientist, Martial Artist (+ Fencing) And Track and Field to the Cowboys in 1976. Incidentally, all the Contributing individuals came from my instructor, and friend, Dan Inosanto, Except for one, Dr. Rod Sacharnoski.
